The Road Ahead

All of my life I’ve been a long-term planner. Anytime someone would ask me “Where do you see yourself in five years?” I always had an immediate answer. However, in my job interview on Tuesday I was asked that question and could not come up with a real answer.

And for the first time ever, the fact that I didn’t have an answer to that question didn’t scare me. After many sleepless nights and numerous hours of worrying, I have finally resolved with God that as long as I do everything I can to work towards a future career, He is going to take care of me.

When I took this picture earlier this week, I was reminded of my future. There are times when the roads are crowded and no one is sure where the path really leads, we just know we are working towards the same goal: getting to our destination. Right now, I’m not really sure what my destination is. But I know that when I get to the right exit, I’ll know when to take it and it will lead me right to where I’m supposed to be.
